Paul Hansen is an International Trade Representative with the Minnesota Trade Office (MTO).   His assignments include expanding exports to the Middle East and Africa.  He has been involved in a variety of export marketing activities during more than 25 years with the MTO and the Minnesota Department of Agriculture.  His counseling and promotion efforts typically deal with companies interested in selling products or services to Middle Eastern or African markets.
 
As an international trade representative for the MTO, Paul also introduces companies to the services of the MTO, including: assistance evaluating company export readiness, providing market intelligence, determining export requirements, providing a variety of export-related educational seminars, arranging trade missions and participation in trade shows, providing business contacts, and hosting foreign delegations.
 
Prior work experiences include finance responsibilities with International Harvester Company and editorial work for a weekly, international agribusiness publication.  He also has free-lance experience in video production and marketing.
 
Paul has a bachelor’s degree in business from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, and a master’s degree in agriculture, with an emphasis on international marketing, communications and economics, from the University of Minnesota.
 
The Minnesota Trade Office, a division of the Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), promotes international trade and provides information, training, and counseling to Minnesota businesses wishing to enter the international marketplace.  International trade representatives evaluate company export readiness, provide market intelligence, determine export requirements, provide a variety of export-related training seminars, arrange trade missions and participation in trade shows, provide business contacts, and host foreign delegations.
